once upon

once upon a rhyme

there was a girl

whose hair I used to comb

with a fishbone

I'd take her by the hand

to the sea

and promise never

to leave her alone

she liked to run

naked 

on the beach

feeling the sunshine burn her skin

listening to the roar of the waves

and fishing seamonsters

from within

one day a ship came to shore

and fifty pirates to land

they took my girl away from me

to the deepest of the deep blue sea

once upon a time
